This is the scene where Hamlet kills Polonius.
In this scene Horatio is holding a dying Hamlet in his arms.
Ophelia has gone crazy and lets herself drown in the water.

Hamlet, played by David Tennant, is mesmerising. The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) production is full of wit, humor, stirring energy, and emotional intensity. From the second Tennant took the stage it was clear who the star of the show was. His emotions overwhelm the audience and he puts on a magnificent performance.

Assignment #6
The setting of the video seemed to be in Asia. The girl worked hard and always got treated badly by the others. I guess the man in the video was her father? Anyway, he seemed to show her a light when they spoke on the bench and he explained that she didn’t have to be like the others but that she needed to be herself. That she was really no different at all. In the end, she took the taped up violin and played her heart out. It was really amazing and she pulled it off. Everyone loved it. The girl who always gave her such a hard time, didn’t seem happy at all though. Cute video.

I think Oprah Winfrey is a Renaissance Woman. She’s a really smart, educated lady and she gets involved in all aspects of politiccs. Also, she does a lot of charity work. She’s just really a great woman. To me a renaissance person has alot of morals and education. They are wise and study many subjects that they work in.

Superstition
If a black cat crosses your path that is bad luck. However, if you pull out a single white hair, without getting a scratch, you will live long an d prosperous.
The rabbit’s foot has been a symbol of good luck for a very long time. Wherever one carries the rabbit’s foot, the general procedure is to stroke it three or four times before entering into any kind of social event, athletic contest, or gambling effort.
The levels of a multi-story building are numbered sequentially, from “basement”, “one” or “ground” upwards. In some countries, the number 13 is considered unlucky and building owners will sometimes purposefully omit a floor so numbered.

Oprah Winfrey is a renaissance woman. She is well educated and has built a life from nothing. She is very successful in everything she does and also is involved in aspects of politics and charity work. she is an inspiring woman.

Sorting People
In the “sorting people” assignment, there were nine people that I classisfied correctly. It was actually pretty tough. After looking at some of their responses, I couldn’t figure out why some people would classify theirselves the way they did. It was definately confusing, but interesting. I was surprised. Just goes to show that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions and classify other people without knowing who they really are. However, we’re all guilty of it.

Media has so much to do with the way we look at ourselves. Movie stars, models, the media is so into what they look like. They set a standard for what everyone is “supposed” to be. Teenage girls are most influenced by these images. Knowing these are unrealistic bodies, this is what we are pressured to look like. Some people will do almost anything to look like famous stars or be the type of person someone else wants them to be. Some people are trying to reverse this effect and show us that its ok to be us, and not take large measures to be a size zero and look like the unhealthy models that are portrayed as “flawless”, or “beautiful”.

Blogging? Hmmm…
This is a very interesting project. I have never had to do this in any other class. However, I think it is a good idea. It changes things up a bit. I guess it’ll get better after we all get the hang of it.
